Alan listed 5 ways to raise his vibrations, and invited several bloggers including myself to participate in this meme. Since I have a pretty short attention span, I am departing from the meme and list 3 (instead of 5) ways that I raise my “vibration”.
Forgive
Holding onto anger, bitterness, or resentment is a surefire way to keep your vibration low. These states of being suck up energy like a black hole that can never be satisfied. Any states of being living in “non-forgiveness” bear the same effect.
We often think of forgiving as benefiting the other person - the person whom we believed has wronged us. Forgiving, according to Yasuhiko Genku Kimura, is to “give light for darkness”1, and is done for one’s own benefit.
What is beyond the scope of this post is how we can forgive. Books have been written about it, seminars created to help the process, and therapy sessions focus often on the events leading up to forgiveness. Any attempt at “a checklist on forgiveness” here seems to make light of the matter.

Laugh
I recently discovered a routine by Brian Regan on Google Video, and he made me laugh out loud. He is an observational comedian and is known for his clean humor. I’m assigning Brian Regan as “a Mendelian dream of Jim Carrey and Will Farrell.” (a partial clip below)
One of my favorite YouTube videos is Judson Laipply’s Evolution of Dance; it makes me clap and laugh every time I watch it. Judson’s seamless transitional moves and interpretation of each piece make this video so entertaining.
A close cousin to laughter for me personally is any stimulus that causes me to get all mushy and say “Awwwwwww!”, make cooing sounds that would make your hair curl, and speak at frequencies that only puppies can hear. Pictures of cute baby animals usually do the trick, especially if the photographer captures them in an anthropomorphic pose.
Love
Here, I am referring to the Love that comes from your Whole Self. I am not talking about the kind of love that is given out of Lack: for example, loving so you could be loved back or loving others as a means to avoid loving yourself.
This Love as a way to raise vibration is a bit tricky, because we could be debating a “chicken or egg” question. Can we truly Love this way before raising our vibration? I believe that to Love this way, I must already have raised my vibration.
Much of the challenges with Love stem from our inability to truly love ourselves.

Jane, you have some great thoughts here. I especially agree with the part about laughing right now. I’ve been so focused on thing I’ve gotten burnt out.
So rather then reaching for another business book I picked up Bill Engvall’s book Just a Guy and have been enjoying a relaxing and entertaining read.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your vibes.
Tim, I know exactly what you mean.
Many of us are brought up to be extremely goal-oriented and focused. Sometimes we pursue our idea of “excellence” without pausing and questioning whether what makes meaning for us have changed. Eventually, we burn out.
I haven’t read a business book in ages, but I have found ironically that I’ve learned more about business from non-business books than business books (after all, where did those b-book authors get their ideas?).

Yup everything in the world have energy and vibration. Love and laugh is the unique vibration..make all of us feel happy and peaceful. You have great thought
I saw a PBS program last night on the power of “Play” and how it helps heal both adults and children.
One of the best catalysts for laughter is Play. Many of us have forgotten how to play, myself included.
Jane
Hi Jane. Thanks for playing along :) . I also love that Evolution of dance video!. Laughing is the best medicine indeed. Have a wonderful and fun filled day!
Nice examples of the wrong kind of love. It’s easy to fool ourselves, and very difficult to cultvate that ideal love that is truly fulfilling and vibration raising. Thank you.
You have some powerful ways to raise your vibrations. Forgiving used to be very difficult for me. I still struggle with it sometimes.
I wrote my thoughts here and it became a blog entry, so I put it in draft mode. I’ll publish it after I edit it some.:)
